Free Chrome extension for lego.com

Open lego.com in your own country and language

BrickHop is a free Chrome extension that rewrites lego.com links to the country and language you choose. When a link points at another country's store, BrickHop opens the same page in your country's store instead.

The link goes to the US store. A Reddit thread links to lego.com/en-us. For a reader in Austria, that opens the wrong store.
BrickHop sends you to yours. The same product opens at lego.com/de-at, in your country and language, with a small notification of what changed.
BrickHop changes the country and language in the link. The page itself still loads directly from LEGO.

One-time setup

Set your country and language

Right after you install BrickHop, a welcome tab opens and asks for your country and language. Choose them and confirm to finish setup.

  1. Pick your country and language.

Pick the country suggested at the top, or search by name or code. You can also browse the full grouped list. Each country lists the codes it offers: Austria has de-at for German and en-at for English.

  2. Auto redirect is on by default.

By default, BrickHop rewrites a LEGO URL to your country whenever you land on a different one. To switch by hand instead, turn off Auto redirect in Settings, then open BrickHop's side panel from the toolbar to change the country of the page you are on.

  3. Change your choices anytime.

Your country and the Auto redirect setting can both be changed later from the Settings page.

The BrickHop welcome popup, Setup step, with the country and language picker open: a 'Looks like you're in Austria' card showing the code de-at, a search field, and a grouped country list where each language carries its code (de-at, en-at, en-us, and so on) with Deutsch (de-at) selected. Back and Continue buttons sit at the bottom.
Pick your country and language, then confirm.

After install

Pin BrickHop to your toolbar

The Chrome Extensions menu open. Callout 1 rings the puzzle-piece Extensions icon in the toolbar. Callout 2 rings the pin next to BrickHop in the list. The Chrome toolbar after pinning. Callout 3 rings BrickHop's icon, now sitting beside the address bar.

Click the puzzle-piece Extensions icon (1), find BrickHop in the list, and click the pin next to its name (2). Its icon then stays in your toolbar, where you can reach it any time (3).
